Doreen the duck laid some eggs that later hatched into gorgeous ducklings. Everyone these little creatures. For they were so adorable
In time Dodo, one of the ducklings could not stand the way she looked. She felt her feathers were the ugliest. Her beak did not great colours. Everything about her was not good. Not a good way to think about oneself. Listen to the rest of the story below:
For this episode, get your child a pencil or pen and notepad. Let them write down the things that make them amazing. I am sure there are a ton of them.
If they need help with this activity they could ask you, a grandparent or any person who knows and love them.
Keep the writing in a safe place. Ask them to read it to themselves each time they feel low and need some encouragement. The sticker below is for them. Print it out and paste on the wall as a reminder.

And if you are a parent, these are difficult times to do our great job of parenting. The media and commercial world make us believe we need to look a certain way to be beautiful.
So, they give us perfect looking models with fake lashes, brows, nails, hair or even body. Please don't fall for the scam. And certainly, teach your kids never to compare themselves to models they see on glossy magazines. They are trying to sell their products!
Help shift the focus in your child's mind. What we focus on is what make us happy. When Dodo, the main character in this week's story, looked at her reflection, she saw a different person. Perhaps she had never done that before that time. She became happier. Help your child focus on their own beatiful self and they will be happy and confident.
It is okay to look good. I love to look my best and I know most people do. However, going over the top like the media wants us to, is crazy. The greatest things that make us beautiful are virtuous things like kindness, compassion, generosity and love of people of all kinds. These should be our main focus in life. Teach your children to cultivate these great qualities.
Teach them to be grateful and contented, these makes people happier.
